Changing Gram/Ounce Unit on Katool/M&E Wheel Balancers

Models: ME-B600, ME-620T, KT-B700, KT-B750, KT-B760

Most Katool wheel balancers are preset to ounce (OU) weight units. If you need to switch to grams (GR) for your wheel weights, follow the steps below.

Unit Conversion Procedure (GR ↔ OU)
1. Enter Calibration Mode

Power on the wheel balancer.

Press C + F at the same time.

The display will show “CAL CAL.”

2. Access the Encoder Function

When “CAL CAL” appears, press A-.

This opens the ENC (encoder) settings.

3. Navigate to Encoder Value 29

Rotate the shaft wheel slowly.

Stop when the display shows “ENC 29.”

4. Enter the Unit Conversion Setting

With “ENC 29” displayed, press START.

This opens the gram/ounce conversion menu.

5. Select the Preferred Unit

Look at the right-side value on the screen. It will show either:

GR = grams

OU = ounces

Press B- or B+ to toggle between GR and OU.

6. Save the Setting

Once you've selected the desired unit, press C to save.

The display will return to the encoder menu.

Press STOP to exit back to the normal operating screen.

Your Unit Change Is Now Complete

The balancer will now operate using the weight unit you selected.
