Main Issue
The lift suddenly stopped lifting and the UP button does not respond.
Symptoms
●Platform is fully lowered
●Pressing UP does nothing
●Power light is ON
●Voltage has already been verified
Possible Causes
●Limit switch is triggered or defective
●UP button is defective
●Low or no voltage reaching the control circuit
Visual Flowchart is included with this article for reference.
Step 1 — Confirm Power
●Verify the power light is ON
✅ If the power light is OFF, refer to the No Power / Voltage Check article.
✔️ If the power light is ON, continue below.
Step 2 — Bypass the UP Button (Contactor Test)
1.Locate the black/white contactor with a rectangular blue button
2.Using a non-conductive tool (plastic pen or gloves), press the blue button
⚠️ Do not use bare hands.
✅ If the platform rises:
●The pump and hydraulics are working
●The issue is electrical → Continue
❌ If the platform does NOT rise:
●This may be a deeper electrical issue
👉 Contact Technical Support
Step 3 — Check the Limit Switch
The limit switch is located at the base of the platform and has a small roller wheel that contacts the platform arms.
Purpose:
It is designed to stop the lift at maximum height to protect the machine.
Things to check:
●The switch may be misadjusted and already pressed while the platform is on the floor
●The switch may be physically damaged
✅ If misadjusted:
●Use the contactor bypass to raise the platform slightly
●Adjust the switch so it is only triggered at full height
●Test the UP button again
Step 4 — Confirm a Defective Limit Switch (Jumper Test)
●Reconnect the jumper wire that was used during shipping
●This jumper temporarily replaces the limit switch (see image)
✅ If the lift now rises normally:
●The limit switch is defective and must be replaced
●The jumper may be used temporarily
⚠️ Important:
With the jumper installed, the lift has no height limit protection.
Use caution and avoid over-extending the lift.
👉 Report this to Technical Support so we can arrange a replacement.
Step 5 — Check the UP Button
If the lift still does not respond:
●Swap the UP button with the LOCK button (they are identical)
✅ If the lift works after swapping:
●The UP button is defective
👉 Report this to Technical Support and we will arrange a replacement.
Still Not Working?
If none of the steps above resolve the issue, the lift may have a deeper electrical fault.
